Florence, 24th September 2010, 9h - 17.45h Sala Refettorio - Badia Fiesolana Via dei Roccettini 9, San Domenico di Fiesole
Programme
With the high patronage of the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM) on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of its establishment, the Florence School of Regulation organizes a one-day workshop about Competition Policy in Network Industries. The workshop is organized by all the Areas of the Florence School of Regulation: Energy, Communications & Media, and Transports.
The workshop will be composed of a key-note speech and three panels of debate:
i)Access to network through competition law remedies: pros and cons
ii)Commitments decisions in regulated industries
iii)Price regulation and exclusionary pricing practices
Each panel will involve three main talks from Academics, high representatives from European Commission, National Competition Authorities and National Regulatory Authorities and followed by discussion time.
The scope of the Florence School of Regulation’s activity has progressively enlarged: it has dealt with Energy sectors since 2004, Communications & Media since 2009 and Transport since April 2010. Now that the scope of the project covers the main regulated sectors, inter-sectoral discussions of competition concepts, practices and policies in network industries will represent a very important topic of discussion.
