Legal issues of energy regulation increasingly have a European and even global component. The fast pace of development of European policy and law in this field makes the day-to-day work of legal specialists in their home country both challenging and complex. Given the increasing importance of the legal dimensions of energy regulation, the FSR is developing a fully-fledged area called Energy Law and Policy. It is directed by Leigh Hancher (Tilburg University) and coordinated by Ernesto Bonafé (FSR). Adrien de Hauteclocque (General Court of the European Union) and Nicole Ahner (FSR) are the advisers of this new legal and policy area.
