Villa la Fonte,
Via delle Fontanelle, 10
San Domenico di Fiesole

Background
FSR Energy is happy to inform you about the creation of a new stream of activities in ‘EU Energy Law & Policy’. This new sub-area will organize training, policy workshops and a joint Forum with BNetzA dedicated to the new issues faced by legal departments of national regulatory authorities. Pr Leigh Hancher (Tilburg University and Of Counsel, Allen & Overy) has been appointed as scientific adviser and Dr Adrien de Hauteclocque (FSR, EUI RSCAS) will ensure the coordination. On 28th May this year the Florence School of Regulation organizes the first policy workshop of the new area.

Objectives of the Workshop
This event is an invitation-only workshop which aims to address both topical and controversial recent developments in European energy law & policy, and to anticipate new issues. The main objectives will be:
  • To investigate the legal and practical problems raised by the EU rules on priority access for renewables into the grid.
  • To discuss the new wholesale market transparency requirements and the new legal initiative of the European Commission in this area.
