EU Energy Law & Policy Workshop

Florence, 20th May 2011
Villa la Fonte,
Via delle Fontanelle 10,
San Domenico

The next "EU Energy Law & Policy" Workshop of the Florence School of Regulation will take place on the 20 May 2011 at the European University Institue in Fiesole under the direction of Prof Leigh Hancher (Tilburg University) and Prof Jean-Michel Glachant (Director of the Florence School of Regulation).
This event is an invitation-only workshop which has consistently attracted high level delegates from all sectors of the energy industry, competition and regulatory authorities as well as government officials. It has traditionally been well supported by the European Commission. This series of workshops aims to address both topical and controversial recent developments in European energy law and to anticipate new issues. At the last workshop in November 2011 we had more than 60 participants. On the 20 may, we will address four specific sets of issues: the Commission’s Proposal for a Regulation on Energy Market Integrity and Transparency, the regulation of gas storage in the EU, antitrust enforcement and nuclear energy, and the point of view of the financial community on the problem of investment in infrastructure.
