Deputy Coordinator for the LdP Economic Area (till February 2011)
Matteo di Castelnuovo was senior researcher at the FSR and deputy coordinator of the Loyola de Palacio Economic Area. He holds a PhD in Energy Economics from Imperial College London, a M.Sc. in Environmental Technology/Environmental Economics Option from Imperial College London and a degree (“Laurea”) in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan. Dr. Di Castelnuovo has over ten years of experience working on electricity markets. Prior to going back to academia in 2004, he has worked for a few years as a strategic consultant in the UK. He lectured at Imperial College London and at London Business School. His research interests are energy economics, regulation, analysis and modeling of electricity markets, optimization techniques, energy policy and renewable technologies.
