The 3rd academic Roundtable of the Loyola de Palacio Chair to be held in Florence on the 24th of May will focus on the EU energy technology “pillar”. We will address four specific sets of issues: °the roadmap to a 2050 low carbon economy, °the impact of new energy taxes and subsidies induced by climate change energy policy on the public finance of Member States, °the future role of oil, gas, coal and CCS and °a comparison in approaching energy technology policy in the US and the EU. On this basis we will end with an industrial roundtable.
