TheFIRST WORKSHOP will take place in Milano at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei, on the 5-6 May 2011, and will be dedicated to the analysis of EU external relations in the gas sector and its relation to infrastructure. The SECOND WORKSHOPwill take place in The Hague atClingendaels on the 7-8 July 2011 and will focus on infrastructure in relation to the external relations. The THIRD WORKSHOP will discuss the European infrastructure policy in relation to the issue of solidarity. This workshop will be organised by the Loyola de Palacio Chair and will take place in Florence, Italy on the 28October 2011. ACONCLUDING SEMINAR, organised byWilton Park Conferences, will discuss the reports of the three preceding workshops. The outcome of the workshop series will be published at Claeys & Casteels. It will focus on policymakers and politicians and be presented to the European Commission and the European Parliament. The seminar is scheduled for the5-7December 2011and will take place at Wiston House, UK
Participation is upon invitation only (max 20-25) with equilibrated East-West coverage. Focus will be on discussion, with well-informed moderators, with short expert introduction and discussants for a further kick-off. The final seminar will have a slightly larger attendance. All workshops will be held under the Chatham House rule.
